Meaningful work
Some projects ask for more than documentation alone.
They require time, attention and the willingness to truly listen.
Alongside my commissioned work, I dedicate part of my practice to projects with social, cultural or community value.
These collaborations are rooted in respect, curiosity and long term engagement, often in close connection with local people, initiatives or organisations.
This work allows me to slow down, to be present, and to tell stories that might otherwise remain unseen.
Not to explain or frame them, but to observe and honour them as they are.
Approach
Working with NGOs or community based initiatives asks for a different pace and sensitivity.
My role is not to direct, but to witness.
I approach these projects with the same care and professionalism as any other assignment, while remaining deeply aware of context, cultural dynamics and responsibility.
My focus lies on:
- respectful visual storytelling
- honest representation
- building trust before creating images
- working in close dialogue with people on location
- long term value rather than quick results
Collaborations
Meaningful work can take many forms.
Past and ongoing projects include collaborations with:
- NGOs and foundations
- community driven initiatives
- cultural organisations
- educational or empowerment programs
- locally rooted projects with a social or cultural focus
Each collaboration is approached individually, shaped by the people, place and purpose behind it.
On intention
These projects are not an addition to my portfolio for visibility.
They are an essential part of why I do this work.
They remind me of the importance of presence, humility and connection.
Of the power of images when they are created with care and responsibility.
Open
I am open to discussing collaborations with organisations or initiatives that align with these values.
If you are looking for a photographer who works with attention, respect and cultural sensitivity, I would love to meet.
